Jeff Smith is the VP of Engineering at REDCOM Laboratories, Inc. Jeff has been with REDCOM since 2016, and is a highly accomplished technical executive with more than 30 years of experience in all facets of software product development. Jeff oversees the design, development, and testing of REDCOM hardware and software products and is responsible for working with the management team on product strategy and content. Jeff is a results-oriented leader who is excellent at balancing new product development needs and field support while maintaining schedule and quality.
Before coming to REDCOM, Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University. He started his career as a Software Engineer at Xerox, developing software for application modules for digital print controllers. He then worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Xerox, leading project teams for the network controller.
Later, Jeff worked for twelve years at Eastman Kodak as Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer for NexPress digital front end. Jeff spent six years at Allworx, beginning as a Product Software Architect and then as Director of Product Software. In this role, he was responsible for the delivery of embedded software for their VoIP products.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys golfing, baseball, and the performing arts. He is a long-time steering committee member for the Rochester Broadway Theater League’s Stars of Tomorrow program and is on the Board of Directors for The Hochstein School.
