REDCOM is an active sponsor of BERG Racing, a full-service racing operation based in upstate, NY. Over the past decade, BERG Racing has entered and won 6, 12, and 24‐hour endurance races at world‐famous racetracks throughout the United States, competing in SCCA, IMSA Lite, and the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge races.
REDCOM is proud to support Hillside Children’s Center, an affiliate of Hillside Family of Agencies. One of the oldest and most complex family and youth nonprofit human services organizations in the US, the organization serves over 10,000 cases a year in child welfare, mental health, youth development, juvenile justice, special education, and developmental disabilities services across central and western NY, and in Prince George’s County, Md.
REDCOM is a proud sponsor of Go Red For Women, a campaign by the American Heart Association that encourages awareness of heart disease in women, with the ultimate goal of saving lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart-healthy life.
Founded in 1829, RIT is a place where brilliant minds assemble and collaborate. The REDCOM Telecommunications Systems Lab in RIT’s College of Engineering Technology was made possible by the generous support of REDCOM Laboratories, Inc. It contains a full spectrum of hardware and software commonly found in a telephone company’s central office and is used by students and faculty to support coursework and research.
FLCC’s twelve-week Mechatronic Technology training program is designed to provide the introductory skills and knowledge to prepare students for industrial job opportunities. This program prepares students for a career in the field of manufacturing where advanced technical skills are needed to perform various functions with precise specifications.
The Finger Lakes Advanced Manufacturers’ Enterprise is a collaborative public/private partnership of regional stakeholders that are dedicated to investments in human capital. FAME works with dedicated professionals who specialize in workforce development to attract and grow the workforce talent in advanced manufacturing.
Wayne-Finger Lakes P-TECH (W-FL P-TECH) High School program helps students find and choose a career pathway through a personalized learning model, emphasizing today’s technologies. W-FL P-TECH is a new model for high school education that includes college-level, credit-bearing coursework in the curriculum and allows students to choose their own “pathways” to high-skill jobs.
REDCOM sponsors the Rochester Institute of Technology Formula SAE Racing Team. RIT Racing is a multidisciplinary organization that recruits students of all majors and backgrounds to produce an open-wheel racing car entirely at RIT. They compete at Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) sanctioned events across the US and Europe, competing against other universities on engineering, design and cost. RIT Racing’s alumni work in leadership positions at top engineering OEMs worldwide as a result of the skills and experience gained while members of RIT Racing.
The Rochester Business Alliance is the chamber of commerce for the nine-county Rochester region. The RBA provides information, advocacy, human resource services and networking to help employers grow.
The REDCOM Active Learning Collaboratory within the Saunders College of Business provides an interactive learning experience with self-contained student pods for collaboration with digital and traditional displays and video conferencing capability for distributed teamwork. The space enables faculty to implement learning activities that promote student engagement and peer-based learning.
REDCOM is an active sponsor of the Veterans Outreach Center who provides free programs and support to veterans in Rochester and the surrounding counties. Their mission is to serve veterans with compassion and advocate for all who have worn our nation’s uniform so they can RISE and live life to the fullest. REDCOM holds an annual Pound the Ground 5k to support this cause.
