Sigma: Proven at the Army Warfighting Experiment

REDCOM recently completed interoperability testing at The Army Warfighting Experiment Level C (AWE), an annual event hosted by the British Ministry of Defence. REDCOM had the opportunity to demonstrate the Sigma C2 Software and XRI-400’s interoperability and network management capabilities to the 13th Signal Corps. For this test, REDCOM integrated communications through the following devices simultaneously:

  • L3Harris 152
  • Motorola PTT
  • Silvus Streamcaster
  • Persistent Systems MPU5
  • Trellisware TW-950
  • SIP Phone
  • Sigma Client
  • Sigma ATAK Plugin
  • iPhone

The MoD’s MANNA system, originally developed by Airbus Defence and Space, was also included. This network includes several C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) capabilities, including SIP phone and software-defined radio connections.

Sigma performed as expected, and successfully linked all ten endpoint connections, creating a stable communication network.
