Why REDCOM
The REDCOM advantage — Why we're different
At REDCOM, we do business differently than most other companies. Our culture, our people, and our technology gives us a unique competitive advantage in the communications space.
Longevity
For over 45 years, REDCOM has been designing and manufacturing advanced communications solutions in Victor, NY, U.S.A. Our unique culture and business philosophy enables us to thrive in a highly competitive, ever-changing industry. While the company continues to evolve, the underdog mentality remains an integral part of our DNA and gives us a competitive edge to out-maneuver slower, more bureaucratic rivals.
Nimble engineering culture
What really sets REDCOM apart from every other company is our ability to not just listen to customer requirements but to respond with truly innovative solutions. If you need a custom feature developed, or need to talk to a REDCOM engineer, just ask. We pride ourselves on learning from customer feedback and implementing changes discovered during technical exercises.
World-class service & support
We offer comprehensive 24/7 customer support, professional services, and training courses to help our global customers plan, install, deploy, and maintain their REDCOM products. All of our service and support is based right here at our corporate headquarters in Victor, NY, and we never outsource support to a foreign call center. When you call REDCOM’s customer service, you bypass Tier 1 and go directly to Tier 2 support with no annoying phone tree to deal with. Our Tier 2 support technicians are the same people who install, set up, and fix our systems in the field, and they’re always here to help you.
Renowned for reliability
We connect the most important conversations in the world — be it comms between units at the tip of the spear or a call between government agencies during a crisis. That’s why governments, militaries, and enterprises continue to choose REDCOM. Some of our equipment is still going strong after multiple decades of service in some of the harshest and most unforgiving climates in the world. The U.S. Marine Corps chose REDCOM for their Tactical Voice Switching Systems; the U.S. Air Force use REDCOM solutions for TDC-ICP, ACP, and DCP programs; and the U.S. Army chose REDCOM for network modernization in more than a dozen programs of record.
Engineered, and supported in the U.S.A.
REDCOM products are TAA-compliant and proudly designed, developed, engineered, and supported at our state-of-the-art facility in the United States. Our product R&D is done in-house at our Victor, NY headquarters as well. We don’t outsource our core development, which gives us greater control over our supply chain and product reliability, which ultimately allows us to respond quickly to customer requirements without sacrificing quality.
Interoperability
REDCOM believes in connecting people, no matter where you are or what end device you’re using. That’s why we continue to make systems that can talk to just about everything. REDCOM bridges years of technological advancements, including landlines, VoIP phones, smartphones, radios, MANETs, satellite phones, and more. REDCOM products have completed Interoperability (IO) and Cybersecurity (CS) certification by the United States armed forces via the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) after completion of ongoing certification testing by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
Secure communications
At REDCOM, we recognize how critical secure communication is, which is why we are trusted with the most secure communications in the world, often in places that we simply can’t talk about. Suffice it to say, when organizations need a proven solution to secure the most critical conversations, they turn to REDCOM.
Commitment to open standards
By designing our products for open standards, REDCOM provides customers with some of the most versatile hardware and software on the market. Our solutions are transport, platform, and waveform agnostic, allowing customers to implement our products into existing and new networks without issue.
