At REDCOM, we think it’s important to recognize our employees for the work that they do within their roles, as well as the positive impact they make within the community. Each month we will be featuring a member of the REDCOM team who exhibits our core values in a way that deserves to be recognized.
This month, we are recognizing Chris Fitch, who is one of our software engineers. Chris has been working at REDCOM for 14 years. He started as a co-op in 2004 from RIT, later came on as a full-time employee in 2006, and has been working here ever since. Most recently, Chris led a team of engineers in developing REDCOM’s new secure conferencing app.
Chris has recently been accepted into the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s CLIMB program. The CLIMB Program was created to allow young professionals from local companies who exhibit stellar leadership, vision, and integrity to learn from some of the most successful leaders in our region. It is a ten-month program where participants are given personalized leadership development training, have the opportunity to attend seminars from successful CEOs, and discuss issues facing our communities with political leaders.
“It was an honor for REDCOM to come to me and suggest I apply to the CLIMB Program,” says Chris Fitch. “It’s nice to know that those who I work with, and for, value the work that I do here. It’s also an honor to be accepted by the Chamber. It meant a lot to me to be recognized in that way.”
Having recently taken on a management role, Chris is looking forward to learning from other leaders in the community, and hopes to bring newfound energy and skills back to his position at REDCOM.
