Jim Delmege is a Senior Research Engineer at REDCOM Laboratories and has been part of the REDCOM team since 1980. Jim was the first co-op student at the company and has been working here ever since. Jim has worked on design and development of nearly every voice communication product in the company’s history. Recently Jim was the lead engineer for the creation and initial development of REDCOM’s flagship Sigma virtual call manager, now being used by the United States Military.
Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and then went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Computer Science, also from RIT. Having been with REDCOM for nearly four decades, Jim knows the ins and outs of the industry as well as REDCOM’s product line and is highly knowledgeable and skilled in his role. He has been part of our Software Development and Engineering team since the beginning and enjoys the challenges of working with customers that have unique problems, and the creative process of developing custom solutions.
In addition to his passion for designing and developing software, Jim also enjoys the more recent addition of a customer facing role. Going out to speak with current as well as potential customers about how REDCOM’s products can solve their unique problems brings new and exciting opportunities. Jim likes learning about where the telecom industry is going, and how REDCOM can move with it. Working at a small company such as REDCOM is important to Jim because he feels like everyone has the ability to make a significant difference. In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his growing family, doing community service, and enjoys golfing.
