EspañolREDCOM Laboratories, Inc., a leading supplier of the world’s most secure and reliable communications solutions, was proud to sponsor and participate in 2019 Pound the Ground for Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) for the second year in a row. The 5k run and walk took place at Mendon Ponds Park in Honeoye Falls on August 14, 2019.
Now in its 11th year, Pound the Ground supports the men, women, and families served by Veterans Outreach Center of Rochester (VOC). “REDCOM was happy to reprise its role as a corporate sponsor of this year’s Pound the Ground. We found last year’s event very well organized and our employees really enjoyed the run. We are committed to supporting the Veterans Outreach Center’s free programs for our service members and their families,” said REDCOM team captain and Director of People and Performance, Chad Boehly.
The REDCOM team, made up of employees and family members, participated in the 5k run and walk where each stride helped to benefit the VOC. “The mission of the Veterans Outreach Center resonates deeply with REDCOM. Veterans make up 13% of our staff, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back and support those who have served our country,” said REDCOM President and CEO Dinah Gueldenpfenning Weisberg.
Beyond hosting events like Pound the Ground, the VOC provides a number of free services such as housing assistance, employment, wellness services, counseling, and more for the benefit of Rochester area veterans.
